Charity Challenge

Charity car washingYoung people working on our programmes have raised hundreds of pounds for charity.

As part of our Wider Key Skills programmes students have the opportunity to work on a variety of challenges to demonstrate their skills. Recently we introduced the Charity Challenge and our students have responded tremendously. All of the money-raising ideas and planning for the activities come from the young people, and they decide where they would like the money to go to. The students drew and developed their skills of planning, handling budgets, working in teams to assess priorities and developing a sense of community.

Below is the list of school groups so far, the money raised and the charities they decided to donate to.  Well done, and thank you, to all of the young people for their hard work and generosity.

We’re looking forward to many more great money-raising activities with young people this term and will keep this story updated.
