The current issue of ASDAN Bulletin, the termly magazine produced by the awarding body and sent to all schools and training centres, features an article on the new P.E.T. ASDAN Readi-kit. This innovative new digital tool can be used to assess a person’s employability, and has been developed In partnership between Progressive Educational Tools, ASDAN, and the Learning & Skills Council (LSC). The tool has been through Phase 1 of testing and dissemination, and we are working together to create the final version.

The issue also features students from the Funky Skills Summer Challenge on the front cover. The story inside overviews the success a group of young people had during the summer of 2008 when working with our
Delivery team. The young people, mainly Looked After (LAC) or from the Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Coventry, worked together on a range of challenges to help them progress in life. ASDAN’s Wider Key Skills was used to accredit their learning and between them the young people gained over 50 GCSE equivalent qualifications!
